Ever had a downright embarrassing fashion disaster? Don't worry, you're not alone! We've all been there. We've all looked at our photos years ago and may have possibly been shocked. The only question that would pop up in our mind "WHAT WAS I THINKING????" Well, it happens to the best of us fashionistas.
However, there are certain fashion mistakes that you must NEVER make or try. Our modest beautiful ladies here at CONCEPTS have curated some of the craziest, wildest and weirdest pieces in the fashion industry that have been introduced in the recent years. These are our BIG No No's and you may wanna avoid these at all costs.
1. Big and Bold Shades
This one might have opposing opinions. Some of you love and some of you like us, don't! But this is our explanation for not being in favour of these even with modest fashion. Well, why should we allow these gigantic shades to steal all the attention from the beautiful outfit that you're probably wearing? What about your pretty face? It's great to go out of your comfort zone and try out a new style and new trends, but we just don't think this is the one to complete your outfits.
2. Big Shoulders
This one's a giveaway. Ever seen someone wearing this walking on the street or at a party? Probably not. I mean, who would? Might be a good idea for a Halloween costume though ladies. Granted that these shoulder pads could be turned into a modest piece, but we don't think it would be a very good idea.
3. Thigh-High UGGS
Every girl has a pair of UGGS that they absolutely love to add to their outfits, they're so adorable and comfortable, perfect for winters. However, our love for UGGS has a limit, especially when they look like baggy pants. That's so not cute anymore hon. Would we ever try these UGGS for the sake of it? ABSOLUTELY NOT, that's definitely not our concept. Still, we have so much love for other pieces from the brand.
4. Orthopedic Shoes
It is undoubtedly a great initiative to introduce Orthopedic Shoes. Out of good intentions, we suppose. But it would have been greater if they actually looked good with their outfits. However, this just took the ugly shoe trend to a whole new level. Sorry, not sorry. Don't think we would add this to our modest clothing line.
5. Sweatpants
Our ULTIMATE comfort zone. Who doesn't love sweatpants? Whether you're eight or forty-five, it is that piece of clothing that majority of us own and wear it when we're lazy. All of us have those days where we don't feel like dressing up or wearing a pair of skinny jeans. Majority of us must have worn sweatpants for grocery shopping or in the theatres, and there's absolutely no shame in that! We've all had those days. Luckily, many brands have come up with some fashionable sweatpants in style that make us look like we've got our life in control. Thank God for that!
However, the sweatpant below? We all must have seen models wearing this piece and while it looks great on them, the piece itself looks really ugly. Considering the hefty price? Is it worth it? We don't think so. Especially when our most favourite go-to comfort clothing is at stake.
Trends come and go, some last, whereas others don't see the light of the day. The above are just our opinions on the style and we do not wish to discourage anyone wanting to dress up in a particular way. We encourage our ladies to have their own CONCEPT when it comes to fashion and style and own it like the LADY BOSSES they are!
